XCAT Kuwait 2025 - Day 1 review, video highlights

Penultimate round of the UIM XCAT World Championship with the triumph of Victory Team, the historic Emirati outfit. In the opening race of the Kuwait GP, Salem Al Adidi and Eisa Al Ali prevailed practically at home, with the true hosts—the Kuwait team—close behind.

This first day of the weekend was heavily affected by the weather, with strong winds and a very rough sea, but in the end local knowledge of this stretch of the Gulf and a carefully managed race paid off. The biggest disappointment was the mixed American-Russian crew, Team Sharjah’s pairing of champion Shaun Torrente and Mikhail Kitashev: they dominated almost the entire race before retiring with a technical problem. The same happened to the Italian world champions, the Schiano di Cola brothers, who were ruled out immediately due to a broken engine mount.

An incredible crowd turned out for this first event in Kuwait and for the first of the two races to be held this weekend.
