Tickets on sale next week for SailGP’s return to Portsmouth & Sassnitz

ROCKWOOL signs on as Title Partner of Germany Sail Grand Prix – an event where ROCKWOOL Racing made SailGP speed record history.

Tickets for the highly-anticipated return of the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix | Portsmouth and ROCKWOOL Germany Sail Grand Prix | Sassnitz for 2026 will go on sale next week, available to all fans on November 21, 2025.

Following the sold-out successes this year, Portsmouth is back on the 2026 SailGP calendar from July 25-26 before the most exciting racing on water heads to its record-fastest racecourse – Sassnitz in Northern Germany – August 22-23, 2026.

Marking the start of the European leg of the 2026 Rolex SailGP Championship, the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix and ROCKWOOL Germany Sail Grand Prix will be even bigger – with 13 national teams set to race in identical 50-foot foiling catamarans faster than the wind at speeds over 100 km/h (60 mph).

Sassnitz also welcomes ROCKWOOL as the first Title Partner of the Germany Sail Grand Prix. A longstanding supporter of SailGP as Title Partner of the Danish team, ROCKWOOL has been Title Partner for some of the championship’s most memorable events to date, including Taranto, Saint-Tropez and Halifax.

Tickets offering the best prices for both events will go on sale exclusively for those registered on SailGP+ on November 19. The general public sale for both will take place on November 21. All tickets will be available at sailgp.com/tickets.

SailGP Managing Director, Andrew Thompson, said: “Portsmouth and Sassnitz delivered two of our most entertaining and dramatic events during the 2025 season – and we are expecting to build on that in 2026, as tickets go on sale next week.

“It is fantastic to be returning to both Great Britain and Germany, countries with large, dedicated, passionate and knowledgeable racing fan bases who came out in force during the 2025 season. Both events were among the highest-rated by SailGP fans in 2025. We are looking forward to going bigger and better once again, welcoming thousands of fans across both events to enjoy the signature SailGP experience – both on and off the water – in the Race Stadium and throughout the local community.

“I’d like to thank Emirates, ROCKWOOL and all of our partners together with the supportive stakeholders in Portsmouth and Sassnitz who will make it possible for SailGP to deliver two unforgettable events once again.”

“We’re thrilled to be the Title Partner for the ROCKWOOL Germany Sail Grand Prix to bring the racing back to northern Europe in 2026. ROCKWOOL began operations in Germany back in 1954, and it is now one of our most important markets globally. With four factories and more than 1,300 colleagues across the country, this partnership feels especially meaningful,” said Mirella Vitale, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Communication and Public Affairs, ROCKWOOL Group.

“Next season’s event in Sassnitz will mark our sixth SailGP title partnership event across five countries - a reflection of the growing and international scale of our collaboration with the league. As the closest event to our home in 2026, we look forward to seeing the Danish flags flying high and once again showcasing the best of ROCKWOOL’s culture and innovation on a global stage.”

Both events delivered significant financial effect for their respective regions with Portsmouth’s economic impact measured at $11.5million and Sassnitz measured at $13.1million. The Net Promoter Scores – the metric measuring customer satisfaction – were also among the highest for SailGP. Additionally, in a survey of fans for Portsmouth, 92% agreed that the ticket was value for money while for Sassnitz that figure was 96%.

Both Portsmouth and Sassnitz made their SailGP debut for the 2025 Season, thrilling sold-out crowds with unforgettable racing and entertainment. Marking SailGP’s return to Great Britain after a three season hiatus, nearly 20,000 ticketed fans watched the Black Foils deny Emirates GBR a home win – while racegoers were also entertained by international music acts Tom Grennan and DJ Pete Tong.

Germany’s debut in the 2025 Season delivered one of the championship’s most memorable weekends ever as Sassnitz transformed into a true celebration of the event with 13,000 ticketed fans in attendance. From ROCKWOOL Racing setting a new SailGP speed record (103.93 km/h) to officially become the fastest team on water, to the U.S. SailGP Team’s shock collision with Emirates GBR, the weekend finished with Quentin Delapierre’s fairytale French win after being hospitalized during practice earlier in the week.

Fans can expect more than just world-class racing with the addition of SailGP’s signature Après-Sail music celebrations, transforming the waterfront into a high-energy celebration of sport and entertainment. Premium hospitality experiences will offer luxury beach club setting, gourmet food and drink, and exclusive access to team celebrations.
